• Rehoming groups and shelters

The PAWS Darwin Community Vet plays a crucial role in providing essential veterinary services to support two prominent animal shelters in the Top End: PAWS Darwin and A Safe Place for Meow. Our comprehensive services encompass vital procedures such as desexing, vaccinations, microchipping, worming, and flea and tick treatment.

Beyond routine care, many shelter animals require specialized attention for injuries and illnesses before they can be placed in loving homes. Our dedicated team at the PAWS Darwin Community Vet ensures that these animals receive the necessary treatment in a cost-effective manner, helping shelters avoid the unfortunate necessity of euthanizing animals due to financial constraints.

The clinic collaborates closely with Darwin Wildlife Sanctuary and Wildcare Inc to offer specialized care and treatment for the diverse wildlife of the Top End. We welcome injured wildlife brought in by the public, providing a safe haven for these animals in need.

Equipped with a dedicated wildlife ward, our clinic ensures that wild animal patients receive care in a tranquil and stress-free environment conducive to their recovery. The clinic provides welfare care and assessments, advice, guidance and veterinary care to animals brought in by the NT Animal Welfare Officers.
