About PAWS

PAWS Darwin is an animal welfare organisation in Darwin dedicated to providing care for unwanted and stray animals with the ultimate goal of rehoming these animals to loving families. We also aim to educate the community on animal issues such as the importance of desexing your pet and this is achieved through school incursions and advertising campaigns.

Currently, most of our adoptable pets are in foster homes, mainly with staff members and volunteers due to the unfortunate closure of our Yarrawonga shelter. We have all of our adoptable pet listings on this website, our face book page and also on pet rescue so be sure to check them regularly!

All animals from PAWS are adopted out sterilised (desexed), micro chipped and up to date on vaccinations, worming, tick/flea/heart worm treatment. All animals placed into our adoption program first undergo health and behaviour assessments. Upon adoption animals come with a free veterinary consultation as well as discount vouchers for our classes.
