Brind

Having been surrendered as a 6 week old kitten and his littermates, Brind is still searching for his forever home. Brind is a shy at first but super loving kitty, who would do well in a wide range of homes. He is a very handsome man who is quite deserving of a permanent and loving home as he has been waiting so long! Brind gets along well with the other shelter cats but is wary of dogs. Brind is currently around 10 months of age and is a male Domestic Short Hair.

I have not had much in the way of obedience training, but really want to learn. My new family should be prepared for that and will need to commit to teaching me lots of new things!

My perfect forever home should be one that is family orientated, willing to accept a homeless boy into their home and hearts. One that can commit themselves to having me groomed regularly too!!

PAWS Darwin is now on Facebook!

SOS Save Our Shelter

The Animal rescue centre, which incorporates PAWS Darwin and Wildlife Rescue Darwin are in extreme financial difficulties and with out help we will not be able to continue. The shelter works with many groups including prisoners and disabled people to help build positive animal attitudes in the community. We need just 400 people to raise $250 and we will be able to continue our work.

PAWS Darwin animal shelter is now on PetRescue!

PAWS Darwin now have animal listings on www.petrescue.com.au – a fantastic not for profit organisation dedicated to finding homes for the hundreds of homeless pets all around Australia. Visit them to view ours and others pets and their profiles today!!!

PAWS Darwin has changed the way adoptions take place.

Due to a rising number of pets being dumped and abandoned, PAWS Darwin are now forced to implement changes to discourage impulse buying of animals and the disposable pet society we now live in. In order to adopt a pre loved pet from PAWS Darwin, the potential owner must first attend a PAWS Darwin pet ownership seminar. These free hour long workshops aim at informing owners of the hard work and dedication it takes to be a responsible pet owner. Once an adoption has taken place, the new owners are invited to one free obedience training class to learn how to maintain their new pet.

For more information, please call us or drop into our centre.

Have you adopted a PAWS Darwin shelter animal?

Help us to help them!!! Support for the Animal Rescue Centre is growing and we would like to publish your stories on our website to show that our animals DO deserve that second chance!!!

We are asking for past adoptee parents to share their happy ending stories with PAWS Darwin. Submit your heart warming stories with a picture or two and let us know how they have settled into their new forever homes. Send your stories to pawsdarwin@gmail.com

We would like to update stories regularly, so keep on sending them in!!!
